Becasue of the threat of snow and ice damage, most fixed
Patio and Deck Canopies, as well as Window and Porch Awnings, are required to be removed for the Winter ("Takedown"),
and then reinstalled again during the Spring ("Rehang").
The notable exception is the Retractable Awning,
which is designed to be "self-storing" for the Winter, and thus requires NO seasonal maintenance.
